As you may know our little website & company are growing quite quickly, and it came time to have some business cards made, but we didn’t just want any cards, we wanted cards that were simple, luxurious and elegant.

After seeing some examples of their work we contacted The Mandate Press, a custom letterpress shop located in Salt Lake City, they were wonderful to deal with and as you can see by the photos, our cards turned out beautifully. The look and feel of letterpress is unlike anything you are used to, and is more affordable then you might think. We can’t recommend The Mandate Press enough!

We’re almost embarrassed to say but it’s been over a year since we have featured shorts on IHL, and we really have no excuse. In light of our serious oversight, we went on a mission to find some hot shorts for this summer, and we think we found the perfect pair. If we had the legs for it, we’d definitely be rocking these chambray blue dace Wilkinson Shorts ($144 USD). We love the fact that they are only semi-high waisted, have a perfectly sized bottom cuff, front welt pockets and detailed with horse buttons.

There are few things we like as much as shopping but sushi is one of those things we just can’t get enough of – so it’s natural that we heart this Lily Pond Sushi Set ($94 USD) designed by Stefano Giovannoni and Rumiko Takeda and made with care by Alessi. There are so many great summer sandals out this season, but these IRO Kaki Ama Sandals ($253 USD) have to be one of our favorites – made of suede, feature a leather sole and multi-ankle straps and come in either grey or tan. These sandals are going to be perfect for staying cool all those weekends at the beach or cottage.

We were pleasantly surprised to get an email from Heather, founder of Heather Lins Home telling us about some of her new products she is going to be showcasing at ICFF this year in NYC. We love all her products but her Numbered Edition Collection ($55 – 195 USD) was our favorite – a ruler motif lines the placemat, while the coasters and napkins are numbered sequentially. Heather’s graphic design background is definitely evident in her work – these pieces are fresh, modern, and classic!

It’s that time of year that we are all craving that sun-kissed look, and hitting the tanning booth just isn’t our style for many good reasons but luckily there are some excellent products on the market that will give you the glow you are looking for, and most importantly won’t harm your skin. One of our favorites is Too Faced Pure Bronze ($29 USD) it is made with pure minerals and crushed freshwater pearls to diffuse light and illuminate your skin with a healthy sexy glow. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

We have been enamored with letterpress lately (you’ll find out why soon!) and when Hijirik Studio released this limited edition of their Live What You Love letterpress print ($17.50) we knew we had to feature it. The print is 8×10 inches, letterpressed by hand using vintage wood type blocks on gorgeous cotton paper, and was printed with eco-friendly soy based ink. It shouldn’t be hard to find a spot for this print in your home or office.
