Twin brothers Antony and Richard Joseph launched their company in September 2002, and since then their incredibly creative and function based designs have made them one of the most innovative kitchenware companies out there. This ingenious Joseph Joseph Colander ($28 USD) folds completely flat for easy storage in the kitchen. Moulded from polypropylene it uses 12 live hinges to achieve its transformation.

Royal VKB is always coming out with great products, and this time these Silicone Trivets ($9 USD) designed by Ontwerpwerk, caught our eye. Colorful and cute, these animal shaped trivets will liven up and protect any table.

Since most of us here at IHL are canadian, we always love it when we can feature the product of a canadian company or designer. Ideal for small-space living this THOUT UtiliTILE Forked Up ($300 USD) is part of a series of simple-to-mount elegantly lacquered wall tiles, this tile is useful for storing your utensils in a fun and space saving way, as if hurled into the wall by a knife thrower. THOUT makes us proud to be canadian!

Lately it seems we've been spending more time in the kitchen, and when our old timer bit the dust, we went out searching for a replacement, and came across this Kitchen Tape Timer ($18 USD) designed by Jozeph Forakis, simply pull the ring to set the time, and as time passes, the tape ticks down, and when no tape is left, the timer rings. We love the fresh take on this kitchen essential.

These smart and sanitary four color-coded Index Chopping Boards ($85 USD) by Damian Evans are designed to avoid cross-contamination of various food types: red/raw meat, white/cooked foods, blue/fish, green/vegetables. The boards are dishwasher safe, and come with a sturdy horizontal filing unit, that features a non-slip rubber bottom. It's easy and stylish to protect yourself and your family from cross-contamination.

Although doing the dishes is a chore, at least you can be comforted in the fact that your dishes are drying in this upscale Steel Frame Dishrack ($70 USD) from simplehuman. The solid steel frame is covered in a fingerprint proof coating so the finish is protected against smudges and water spots. Depending on what kind of dishes you've got, use the moveable tines and flip out cup holders to fit what you need. With a dishwasher safe drip tray, utensil holder and inner wire frame, this rack is easier to keep clean then those dirty dishes you've been washing.
